Personal message: As an educational leader, I encourage teachers to become facilitators, coaches and collaborators in the classroom enabling students to navigate change and complexity with confidence. I believe that creativity and innovation can enhance engagement, motivation, academic outcomes, self-efficacy and well-being. Creativity is not only for the gifted and talented, but is within all and for all.
Statement Area of Responsibility: I lead the school’s Newman Selective Gifted Education Program and support staff in effective identification of and provision for gifted students. I also mentor staff and pre-service teachers through professional development, accreditation and reciprocal feedback processes.
